AQP (Any Qualified Provider)

AQP is a framework introduced by the National Health Service (NHS) that allows patients to choose where they receive certain healthcare services, including audiology services such as hearing aid provision and maintenance.

Under the AQP framework, individuals with hearing loss can choose to access audiology services from any qualified provider who meets the specified standards set by the NHS. This includes private audiology clinics as well as NHS audiology departments.

The AQP approach aims to offer patients more choice and flexibility in accessing healthcare services, including hearing aid maintenance. It allows qualified professionals beyond the traditional NHS settings to deliver services, provided they meet the necessary quality standards and criteria defined by the NHS.
